The only way I would want to be younger is if I could be young but know all the things I know now. I would never trade age for experience and wisdom. I feel like I’m finally hitting my stride. Now, if only the bad decisions I made the over the last 20 years don’t catch up to me and wreck my body....

Yeah, it’s not the years - it’s just this week.

I sure hope they recover soon. We have big plans this weekend! I’ve managed to avoid it so far, so I’m feeling pretty confident I’m safe... (famous last words?)

He was a great guy and lived a long, full life. This is the second of my dad’s brothers that has passed away in the last 6 months (three others had passed away prior). My dad is the youngest, but it definitely brings it home that he (and my mom) may not have that much time left. We had a great celebration at my home last fall for my dad’s 80th. Hope my kids and I (and all my siblings and their kids) get to make a lot more memories with them before it’s their time.
